7TH ART FOR CHANGE 2020 LAUNCHED

August 14, 2020

Discovering New Artists (DNA) in collaboration with ICOMOS Pakistan has launched the 7th Season of Art for Change – International Child Art Competition and Exhibition on Friday, 14th August 2020. The competition is one of the flagship projects of DNA and one of the largest child art competition in Pakistan. This year, Art for Change has opened a call for artwork submissions from all across the world. As part of the culmination program, Art for Change will arrange multiple exhibitions in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, and internationally where hundreds of best artworks from all across the world will be displayed to promote young artists.

Discovering New Artists has further partnered with BeCAUSE, Globalizers, Golden Opportunities, and Clear Yo Mind for increasing the reach and impact of Art for Change this year. Art for Change puts special emphasis not only on arts education but also on the fact that we should be socially responsible citizens of the world. Since 2014, 38,656 students have drawn/painted on different themes and supported 19,150 students from marginalized communities to be part of the competition and exhibitions.

World Heritage is the shared wealth of humankind. Protecting and preserving this valuable asset demands the collective efforts of the international community. With support from our partners from all across the World, this year we want the children all over the world to learn and express creativity about local and world heritage sites in their communities, cities or countries. Thus, the theme for Art for Change – 7th International Child Art Competition & Exhibition is “Local & World Heritage”

There are cash prizes, certificates, trophies and cash honorariums for both teachers and students (please see details). Most of all, the selected artworks will be exhibited in multiple exhibitions across Pakistan and internationally.

Your school’s participation will give a chance to thousands of students from marginalized backgrounds to be part of the competition. We make sure that these marginalized children from Pakistan have all the resources to draw/paint by providing them with art supplies. Therefore, we would like to request you to submit maximum artworks in order to bridge the gap between privileged and underprivileged communities and showcase your work via international exhibitions. (for details, please see Art for Change model)

We hope to see wonderful art entries. Best of Luck!
