Welcome
Discovering New Artists invites budding children and young artists to participate from all across Pakistan in its exclusive National Art Challenge to cater to the current dilemma humans are facing. We are providing a chance for all the parents to spend some creative time with their children and assist them in making artwork on the given theme. Youth are also welcome to submit their artworks on the given theme. This challenge will not only provide help to the people affected by Coronavirus through the collected proceeds but also help our children and youth in their creative development.
All the students and individuals are encouraged to take motivation from their current surroundings, for example, you may draw/paint as simple as taking inspiration from family life, books, toys, technology, helping your parents and cooking to draw something about your new learning and how to spend quality time at home.

Rules & Guidelines
Please adhere to the following rules and guidelines below;
- Age Limit: Eligibility of participants ranges from 4 – 24 years of age.
- Number of Entries: Participants may submit multiple entries with each entry having a separate submission process and fee.
- Must be no smaller than A4 (210 × 297 mm) and no bigger than A3 (420 × 297 mm). Any other size will automatically be disqualified. It can be vertical or horizontal.
- Medium: The work may be drawn or painted in pencil, pen, charcoal, crayon, pastel, watercolor, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster color and collage. We are looking for hand-drawn colorful artwork- they should not use digital tools to create their artwork. For display purposes, colorful entries are preferred. Only 2D artworks will be accepted.
- Judging: The entries will be judged on the basis of originality, creativity and imagination, and visual impact. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Discovering New Artists reserves copyrights on all submitted pieces. No artwork & entry fee will be returned or refundable.
- All work will remain the property of the Discovering New Artists which may use, sell, or exhibit them for appropriate non profit making purposes within its own activities.
- The artwork submitted must be the original work of the entrant themselves and not infringe the copyright, moral rights or other rights of any third party. Artworks that are deemed to not belong to or be created by the entrant will NOT be eligible.
- Announcement: The results will be announced on our website and Facebook page. All the selected entrants will be notified through their emails. Non selected entrants will not be notified of the results.
RESULTS
We received more than 500 art submissions from all across Pakistan for the National Arts Challenge (NAC) by Discovering New Artists (DNA). The challenge was really competitive and all the qualified submissions were judged by our jury members who have really appreciated all the artworks by all the children and young individuals. The judges have selected the following 6 winners (one from each age-based category) and multiple runner-ups from 6 age-based categories.
We have introduced a Public Choice Award for our runner-ups, therefore, all the artworks have been placed in an album on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/DiscoveringNewArtists). The artwork with most votes (likes) till 11:59 p.m. Monday, 1st June 2020.
