More than 300 people have attended 6th Art for Change – International Child Art Exhibition on the first day of its commencement at PNCA (Pakistan National Council of Arts), Islamabad.
Art for Change is Pakistan’s one of the largest international child art competitions and exhibitions started in 2014 by Discovering New Artists. An event with importance laid not only on art education but also on the fact that we should be socially responsible citizens of our country and the world we live in.
Discovering New Artists partnered with PNCA and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to launch the 6th Art for Change – International Child Art Exhibition at PNCA Islamabad on Friday 17th January 2020. Renowned artist, actor, and director Mr. Jamal Shah inaugurated the ceremony and distributed the prizes and certificates to all the winning participants in a jam-packed inauguration ceremony. “how art and culture serve as a resource to critically engage people with their surroundings thereby encouraging them to develop an intimate understanding of societal evolution and how art develop children’s creativity and imagination.” Mr. Jamal Shah explained. Mr. Zaidi also added that one of the aims of the competition was to create a bridge between the students from privileged and underprivileged classes.
DNA is a progressive youth-run organization that channels artistic and creative initiatives like Art for Change to develop creativity.
