What is IMM?
International Math Meet (IMM) is a worldwide math contest hosted at institutions all over the world designed for students from grades 1 – 12. IMM gives students carefully selected and presented mathematical challenging questions and asks students to combine both intelligence and intuition at all questions. OBJECTIVES
Students who take part in 'International Math Meet 2020' have the opportunity to develop creative numerical thinking skills, which better prepares them to excel in high school math classes.
IMM helps students to be comfortable with various math olympiad papers in the right environment. IMM wants students to utilize this experience to continue to take part in more challenging math olympiad competitions in the future.

Participation Guidelines

- Any student from grade 1 through 12 can participate in International Math Meet as long as he/she can read and write the answers to multiple choice questions.
- IMM consists of one time test to be attempted at the institutions and do not require any additional final tests/stages.
- The competition will be held in the 2nd week of March in 2020.
- The questions presented at the contest are age appropriate, motivating and exciting.
- Use of calculator is NOT allowed during the contest.
- The contest will be based in English language in Pakistan.
- Mobile phones are strictly prohibited during the contest.
- Students who earned top scores at each level of participation are awarded with gold, silver, bronze medals and with souvenirs. The gold medal is the highest prize. Medals are accompanied with certificates.
- All other participants will be presented with participation certificates.
- IMM will be hosted at all institutions in the country at the same time.
- All institutions are invited to participate in International Math Meet (IMM) from all public and private institutions.
- We do not suggest institutions to discourage any student who wish to participate in the competition.
- Registration includes a fee of PKR 700 per student in order to enroll in International Math Meet.
- IMM will be hosted in your own institution under the supervision of the Head of the Institution/Principal.
- A minimum of 10 students from a participating level is MUST. There is no maximum limit.
- There are 6 categories with respect to school/institution grade levels.
- Level-I: Grade 1 and Grade 2
- Level-II: Grade 3 and Grade 4
- Level-III: Grade 5 and Grade 6
- Level-IV: Grade 7 and Grade 8
- Level-V: Grade 9 and Grade 10
- Level-VI: Grade 11 and Grade 12
- Each student will receive a question booklet along with the answer sheet.
- 120 minutes will be given to complete the multiple-choice test for grades 1 through 4.
- 180 minutes will be given to complete the multiple-choice test for grades 5 through 12.
- 25 questions will be presented to students in all grade levels.
- Each contest problem has 4 points.
- To avoid negative scoring, all the students begin with a credit of 25 points. There is a penalty of 1 point for each incorrect answer. If the answer is left unanswered, it is worth 0 points. The minimum attainable score is 0 points.
- The sample papers will be available on our website one month prior to the contest date.
- It is MANDATORY to adhere to the below rules by all the participants.
- Only registered participants for the contest can enter the examination room.
- Participants are not allowed to bring any unauthorized materials including mobile phones, electronic watch, calculators of any kinds or any sort of technological equipment which may unethically help them with the contest.
- No textbooks, notebooks, or helping material is allowed in the examination room.
- Participants are strictly NOT allowed to use any calculators during the contest.
- No correcting fluids are allowed during the contest.
- Only blue or black ink is allowed to mark their answers on the answer sheets.
- If unauthorized material is found with any participant, he/she will be immediately disqualified from the IMM contest.
