Discovering New Artists launched Art for Change 2017 – 4th International Child Art Competition and Exhibition on 10th September 2017. This year’s competition is launched in collaboration with Accountability Lab and sponsored by Nestle’ Pakistan, Black Horse Paints, Khalid Book Depot, The Print Factory, Naqsh-o-Nigar Photography and Radio Fm91.
This competition was established in 2014 to build a bridge between the privileged and underprivileged communities of Pakistan and support marginalized children in their education. Although national initially, this year DNA is taking it to an international level since it has become well known among teachers and children in many different countries due to its innovative and beneficial model for the children from all economic backgrounds.
Discovering New Artists believes in promoting creativity and channeling it for generating positive messages and hopeful ideas. Since 2014, 11,500 students have drawn/painted on different themes and supported 5,750 students from marginalized communities to be part of the competition and exhibitions.
With support from Accountability Lab, this year we want the children from all across the World to explore and express their ideas on how they can create an honest, accountable and transparent world. DNA provides the children an opportunity to draw something to convince through their art the positive and the beautiful aspect of promoting honesty and integrity. Thus, theme for Art for Change – 4th International Child Art Competition & Exhibition is “Positivity and Honesty”.
